How Reality Started

After making a plan and a budget for developing the app Reality Keeper 3 grants were granted to develop and test the app Reality Keeper (2017 - 2019). The plan was developed during the Dutch Health Hackathon were a proto type was tested. It wasn't called Reality Keeper yet and it had basic function that did function when tested there. The Dutch Health Hackathon team of Reality Keeper was advised to look for grant to develop the app in real. 

The Reality Keeper Pre-Test Report

At the Dutch Health Hackathon the testing of the app gave the app such an advantage that in the process of developing the app Reality Keeper a few tests with potential users of the app were planned. This was done by interviews, focus groups and surveys. In the report Pre-Testing rapport Reality Keeper the first tests are described and wishes for the Reality Keeper app. The research showed that there was a need for the app Reality Keeper.  Based on the wishes  the first requirements for the basic app were discussed among the Reality Keeper team and the developer. Not all wishes could be granted. The biggest wish was that the data would be stored locally and not in a big data house somewhere. The app Reality Keeper treats the data it generates as personal data and there for it stays on the phone of the person and not in a big database. This wish meant:

• There was no research on the data collected from the users of the Reality Keeper app

• The data in the app Reality Keeper was treated as Personal Data, privacy data and stored on the users own phone

• For information to develop the app Reality Keeper further there were more interviews and focus groups with the users of the app Reality Keeper necessary.

The app Reality Keeper was updated with new features a few times in both app stores.

The Survey & Interviews & Focusgroups

The survey was an online survey in Office developed by the Reality Keeper team. I was the one that digitalized the survey and coordinated the online activity of the survey. The survey was analyzed by me and the Reality Keeper team member with whom I developed the Big Data ecourse for Laudius. The focus groups and interviews were mostly done by me and a few by the project manager. The interviews and focus groups were analyzed by me.
