When I got a home in Eindhoven via Wooniezie and registered at the municipal of Eindhoven I was immediately connected with WIJEindhoven, because I was an entrepreneur and was looking for work and assignments. I had to wait for about 3 weeks before I could move, so I stayed at the Wegloophuis Utrecht were I rented a room.
WijEindhoven immediately asked me if I could come to Eindhoven to talk, I was introduced to UWV were I had to follow a program and I was asked to join one of their programs about the inhabitants of Eindhoven. All of this before I started living there.
After I moved, I started the UWV program and started working for BTS. After a while WijEindhoven asked me if I wanted to join there Think A Long Group as an inhabitant of Eindhoven for an experimental project that they were thinking about.
It was fun to talk with them about what they wanted for their inhabitants, who had no job. And when the plan was approved, they were looking for someone who could make the first version of the database they needed. I told them that Access would be better for that than Excel and got the gig.
After a while the experimental project got a few neighbourhoods and it was more than a plan. Even the university of Eindhoven and a research company joined the group, Buurt In Bloei was born.
After delivering the Access. I helped a few of their employees to learn to work with the Access database I made. When Buurt In Bloei got bigger it was time to fit it in their own database and I was called by their IT to tell about how the Access was made.
I was busy with other projects and in 2019 I moved to Nieuwegein. When the COVID lockdowns happened I started cleaning my files and was curious about the experimental project in Eindhoven and contacted them. Last year (2021) a paper came out about the project Buurt In Bloei and the project is still effective at WijEindhoven I was told by their communication section, when I asked about the project.
