In 2012 when I started my business in august I started with teaching Excel, helping students with SPSS and teaching ‘Starten met computers’ in buurthuis Rosa. The next workshop I added was Hootsuite, when Anoiksis asked me to help their members with a program which could plan Social Media. It was a well-attended workshop. All the workshops and projects mentioned in this blog were all done as an entrepreneur. The PowerPoint sheets are from the big version of the workshop Social Media. When teaching a course I pick a few sheets from this big PowerPoint file and adapt it to the audience and of course the design is changed too.
I was teaching a Social Media workshop at ClientenBelang Amsterdam, when they asked me to help them setup LinkedIn. The rest of the workshop was about LinkedIn instead of my prepared PowerPoint with all the Social Medias and their use. I thought to be smart and use my own profile on LinkedIn as an example how to build a LinkedIn profile, but I was told it was too much of a show off. So I adapted the program again and started building a LinkedIn profile together with one of the attendees as an example. At the end of the day a good part of the attendees had a LinkedIn profile they could show off.
Most of the WordPress website I built were for small NGOs and independent entrepreneurs (zzp'ers). Most of them had a small budget and lots of questions about their presence on the internet. It was the time when all the Social Media was popular: LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc., etc., etc. I was back then present on all of them. It took me a lot of time although I was planning a lot of my Social Media outings in Hootsuite back then. I setup a few workshop sheets about which Social Media is for what kind of person and what kind of business. A good example is Wandelen Naar Inzicht, she choose to be present on Instagram, because she doesn't like to write and with pictures she can show the surroundings in which she is operating Wandelen Naar Inzicht.
My last workshops about Social Media were individual workshops to entrepreneurs. The Social Media workshop became more about making choices which Social Media to use, when and how to get PR. The PR was not like the PR course I followed but more about how to promote business and/ or projects for 'free'. And about using blogging to promote a business or a project. The end of my workshops Social Media came in 2019 when a new version of Reality Keeper was launched and another spin off subsidy was granted to teach awareness of Social Media to people with MID (Mild Intellectual Disability, lvb, licht verstandelijke beperking). I wasn't the one teaching this course, but had a say in setting up the workshop and I was there to help. Reality Keeper was built with ZONMW subsidy and the spin off too, but my own workshops Hootsuite, PR & Social Media I gave from 2012 till 2019 weren't.
