This year has been a war of attrition, but with just a week to go for most of us and a little more for some, the FYMA Cup will be held in spite of the COVID pandemic and Fratt's season ending surgery.

Our course lineup is set, although with just two groups, we have the ability to flex the first two days with only single foursome + Fratt arriving in time to be eligible for the championship.

That's right, only 7 days to go, so it's time to get to Walmart to get your travel size toiletries, a tin of dip, and pack up your beer koozies or your favorite pint or FYMA tumbler; Anything that make your shillelagh swing tighter and longer.

This is FYMA Cup, St Paddy’s edition. And while Clarkie may be the world’s tallest leprechaun, I don’t recommend pinching him for good luck. Yes, day 1 of FYMA will be St. Paddy’s day. Green beer and Bushmills for everyone, and who knows, if you have just the right amount of spirit(s), you may just have to get up and kiss the moose. When it’s time to shake the shillelagh, you will need your a-game. Our host and your TD has set up a golfing experience like never seen in all of FYMA lore. Unlike FYMA Cups of the past that were played on sleek, groomed tracks, this year’s line up is the equivalent of your crazy cousin Eddie’s golf. This is the trailer park version of FYMA. So bring your solo cups, foot wedge and a an extra dozen balls, coz fellas we aren’t in Scottsdale anymore. Instead of Frank tunes at the golfing cocktail party, Hank songs will be heard at the FYMA Cup tailgate. Expect “Drinks in the Driveway” because that how they roll (tide). As Sheryl Crow said, "This is ain’t no country club, this is L…A…" (Lower Alabama) and I am sure that is what she meant. The weather is shaping up to be a beaut, highs in the mid 70’s and only a slight chance of rain on day 1.

• Tee Time: >11am

• Depart house TBD - 14 min drive (9 miles).

• March Madness begins with the "First Four" play in games; FYMA hits full swing with the arrival of Clarkie and Whitey.

Day 3 - Friday, 19 March:

Marcus Pointe Gold Course, Pensacola, FL

• Tee Time: >11am

• Depart house TBD - 20 min drive (9 miles).

• March Madness first round games

• Possible Dinner at McGuire's; Possible showing by Rivs.

Day 4 - Friday, 20 March:

• Scenic Hills Golf Club, Pensacola, FL

• Tee Time: >11am

• Depart house TBD - 10 min drive (4 miles).

• March Madness first round games

Day 5 - Friday, 21 March:

Travel Day: Go back to where you came from.
