From Clarkie's email:
We will plan to be home by late afternoon each day with the idea of hanging by the pool with a cocktail while a small group scurries about prepping dinner for the crew.
So...I have split the group up into teams and assigned each team a night to cook and a menu theme. When it is "your" night, the team is responsible for menu selection, shopping, prep, cooking and clean-up for a main course and one appetizer during the aforementioned happy hour.
The sked:
Monday - Pizza, as we will all be just getting in and organized.
Tues - Clarke, Kinger, Vis - Surf theme
Wed - Chaser, Mudro, Rivs - Turf theme
Thurs - Ant & PK - SOCAL Mexican
Fri - Chop, Larry, G - EFH Italian
Let me know if your team has any objections to the menu. I just wanted to avoid everyone doing a steak night. Please feel free to reach out to Kinger if you would like him to coordinate a related cocktail of choice for your evening's happy hour. Also, Rivs will be made available upon request to match a nice wine with your menu once it has been finalized.
One word of caution. Rivs takes his responsibilities very serious and will need sufficient lead time. He will not simply throw a merlot on the table the night of the dinner and call it good, so plan ahead gents. This is serious business.
Vis plans to set the bar pretty high on the first night, so don't be that team that underachieves!
Adding on for your budget calcs. Please plan for $225/head for all your food and drinks. This includes Pizza night, beer/booze, lunch on course, and dinners. Everyone will put their grocery bills in the pot and along with your golf lunches, everyone should plan on $225.
