Resources for working with people with disabilities and creative works by Duncan Herbert Blackman, M.A.
Hello
I worked a career of over 35 years with the Saskatchewan (Canada) Ministry of Social Services providing psychological and consultative services for people with intellectual disabilities. In my career I compiled resources on services for people with intellectual disabilities as part of a literature review completed in 2005 and in the years leading up to my retirement in 2009. I've continued to maintain an interest in this field. It is my hope that this website will be of use for literature reviews or for those working with people with disabilities.
Please note that this is a work in progress. I am winding down the addition of professional literature since I've now been retired for over 11 years (September, 2020).
Use the drop down menu in the top left corner for the sections, Topical Information or My Sitemap, for links to the sections. Addition of material to the Creative Works section will be my focus from 2021 on.
(This website project began in 2012. Latest edits in 2020.)
Please note that if any resource link is broken, often you can find the resource by doing a search for either the title or the description. If you can't locate the document in question, please contact me (see "Contact Information") and I will try to ameliorate the situation.
In addition to professional interests, access is given to some of my creative works which includes easy-listening pieces on the cello, some poetry, videos, scenic photos, and Christian devotionals.
