DCCGS AGM

Wednesday 6^th June 2007

(Held at Libbaton Golf Club after the Spring Meeting)

The venues/dates for 2008 were discussed and the following was agreed ;

It is up to Plymouth City Council GS and the Three Shires GS respectively to arrange the Salver and Wessex Trophy matches in 2008.

The financial position of the society presently stands at about £200 - this includes a ten year stock of Captains ties which were bought back in February. This balance will likely be reduced by the payment of deposits for some of next year’s events.

Our incoming Society Captain with effect from 1st July is Bob Blackmore - he has chosen John Barnard to be his vice-captain.

We held an event at Trethorne in February this year – MD suggested trying to arrange a similar event for the early part of 2008, and this was agreed. Members will be circulated with the details.

MD sent an email around asking interested members to put their names forward to enter a charity event (Hospiscare for Children South-West) in 2007 – this was deemed a good idea and so members will be circulated at the appropriate time for the 2008 event. The 2007 event was held at Honiton, though the 2008 venue is as yet unknown. One of our members did enter a team for the 2007 event.
