AGM

Held in the Coaver Club Library on Monday 1st July 2002

Present:_ Bob Jones, Neville Taylor, Dave Cowler, Yacob Cajee, Geoff Bulley, Phil Sudworth, John Lovegrove, Dave Callaby, Brian Nute and Mike Downing

The venues for 2003 were discussed and the following was decided:

It was decided not to enter the Millennium Pairs event in 2003

Mike Downing said he won't attempt to arrange any future Winter meetings before 1st April each year - this is to try and prevent having to postpone this event as has happened in the past 2 years.

The finances stood at £152 as at the date of the meeting - Mike asked if people wanted to see an annual statement of income and expenditure, but the meeting did not feel this was necessary.

Neville Taylor assumes the role of Society Captain as from today, and has chosen Bob Jones to be Vice-Captain.

DCCGS are hosting both the Salver match and the 3 Shires event in 2003.

An experiment of booking a block of start times at a future meeting and then grouping players in 3 blocks within the start times based on handicap/speed of play will be tried - this is an attempt to move away from the formality of strict tee-off times and be more flexible
