The results of the Autumn meeting held at RND in October appear on the website. DCCGS finally managed to win the annual match against the Three Shires GS at Orchardleigh last September by 8.5 points to 6.5
Winter meeting
This will be held at Dawlish Warren on 11th April. The morning round will be a 10-hole greensomes stableford(partners by lot), and the first start time will be from 9.30am. The afternoon round will be an 18 hole individual stableford for the Reg Smith Trophy. In addition, those players with the best 4 scores will qualify to play in the Turntable Furniture charity event to be held at Exeter GCC on Thursday 10th July (the idea of entering teams in this event was circulated to members in late January).The team will be subsidised from DCCGS funds on a sliding scale(1st place will get full £30 subsidy, 2nd £25, 3rd £20 and 4th £15 - the cost of entering the charity event is £120 for a team of 4 players, so £30 per player. Coffee and bacon roll on arrival, plus a two course lunch of ham, egg and chips followed by a sweet are included in the overall cost of the day, and a twos sweep will operate over both competitions.

Kelly Cup matchplay knock-out
As always this will be contested between April and September, with the final to take place at Holsworthy at the Autumn meeting on 3rd October. The format will be as in previous years. We need at least 16 entrants to make the competition viable.

South Coast Salver
This year's match is at Tavistock on 21st May. For those unfamilar with the format it's a triangular match against Plymouth City and Exeter City Council Golf Societies. It's greensomes stableford in the morning and individual stableford after lunch. A team of 12 players is required, and the cost of the day, which includes 36 holes, coffee on arrival, light lunch and a two-course evening meal, is £30. Again please indicate your interest to Neville
