You pull the United States Navy back, in an offer of good faith. While you want the missiles out of Cuba, you can't fathom putting millions of Americans at risk of a nuclear holocaust.

Khrushchev, however, does not match your offer of good faith with one of his own. With the United States' ships out of the way, he sends more missiles to Cuba to deter the United States from ever again threatening the missiles in Cuba.

The U.S. is now faced with the 3rd largest nuclear arsenal in the entire world only 90 miles from it's coast.

The safety of millions of Americans hangs in the balance and more ships from the Soviet Union, likely carrying even more missiles, are on their way to Cuba...

The American people, now terrified for their safety, demand strong action.
