Choices

Well, Mr. Kennedy, the Soviet Union has lied to you. They denied that they knew anything about the missile sites, when, in reality, they were the ones behind it.

What are you going to do about it? You have been elected to lead America and the peace and safety of our great country hangs in the balance...

What will you do...

1. Do nothing. Doing anything, at this stage, would only make the problem worse. Perhaps, like a bee hive, if you don't poke it, nothing bad will happen.

2. Diplomacy. Apply pressure to the Soviet Union through talks, threats of sanctions, and promises of retaliation if the U.S.S.R. does not remove the missiles from Cuba.

3. Secrecy. Matching the Soviet's secret plot to get the missiles to Cuba, send a secret offer to Castro. Give him the choice of splitting with the Russians or being invaded by the U.S.

4. Invade. These types of threats to America cannot be tolerated. We must show the world that a threat like this will be met harshly. Use the Army and Marines to launch a massive assault on the island.

5. Air Strike. Risking ground troops when there are nuclear missiles involved is too dangerous. Instead, send bombers to Cuba to bomb all of the known missile sites on the island. This would eliminate any threat of attack on the U.S. from Cuba.

6. Blockade. Use the Navy to set up a perimeter around Cuba. No ships will be allowed in or out. While not eliminating the threat on the island, it would slowly cripple the island's economy and force it to give in.
