Its Over

Then... without much fanfare, a message reaches you from Khrushchev.

He and Kennedy have reached an agreement.

He has told Kennedy that he'd pull the missiles out of Cuba.

Kennedy, in return, will remove missiles from Turkey and Italy.

All of this, without consulting you!

This solution has both positives and negatives.

First, the bad... Cuba has been left undefended. The missiles promised by Khrushchev will be removed from the island.

But, at least America knows that Cuba has an ally in the Soviet Union. America will not again risk any action against Cuba, knowing that it would likely draw the U.S.S.R. into the conflict.
