Khrushchev

You have selected Soviet Premiere Nikita Khrushchev (Kroos-chev). Born in Russia in 1894, you've seen it all. You were involved in several strikes during the lead up to the Russian Revolution and, when the Revolution took place, you found your niche in political affairs.

You've risen up through the ranks of the Soviet government. You made a name for yourself after WWII as you took over the recovery effort in Ukraine. You got Ukraine back on it's feet, no small task, and this earned you clout and respect all across the Soviet Union.

Then... Stalin died.

In the aftermath, there was a massive power struggle as many players vied for the leadership role. You portrayed yourself as down to Earth and even likable to the Russian people.

The strategy worked and by 1955, you had taken control.
