THESE GUIDELINES ARE PRESENTED IN THE SPIRIT OF COMMUNITY, SAFETY AND CONSIDERATION OF ALL.
Swimming
- No lifeguard on duty
- Swim at your own risk
- No pushing or running on the jetties
- Swimmers are encouraged to stay with the Swim lines
- No boating is allowed within the swim lines. This includes rubber boats, kayaks, sailboats, etc.
- Water testing is conducted every Monday from July to Labor Day.
Raft and swim lines
- No pushing or shoving on the raft.
- Use caution when on the diving board
- Report any damage to the raft or swim lines to an officer of CBIA
- Do not tamper with the raft or swim lines.
- No water craft can be brought or tied to the raft
Beach
- Children should be supervised by an adult at all times
- No glass containers at the beach
- Leashed dogs are allowed on the beach between 6 pm to 9 am daily. Always remove your dog waste from the beach.
- Please remove all trash and items brought to the beach. There are no trash receptacles on the beach.
- Respect the private property of others, including abutters
- Remember when you are on the beach at night, sound travels – please keep your conversations quiet
Boating
- Legally, all water craft must stay 200 feet from the swim lines
- All boats and water craft should be launched and landed in the “boating areas”

- End of Bay Street to the West of the swim lines
- To the East of the swim lines
- Corner of Island and Union Streets
- All boats are to be removed from the beach at the end of the season
Camp Files
- Town regulations require that a permit for each intended fire be obtained from the Fire Department
- Permit holders should be prepared to present their permit upon request
- Fires are not allowed within 50 feet of vegetation and should not be started in windy conditions.
- Never leave your fire unattended
- All fires on the beach must be in a metal container and all ash/wood must be removed from the beach.
- Please extinguish all fires and dispose of properly.
- At no time can fire waste be buried in the sand. Sand does not necessarily extinguish a fire.
Traffic
- The speed limit is 20 mph. Drive with caution and remind your family and guests to drive the speed limit
- Cross at crosswalks and obey the pedestrian signs
- No public parking on the side streets in Crescent Beach
- Use caution when walking, biking, jogging and driving for the safety of everyone
