Treasure report - Sue O'Hara

Sue explained that we had an increase of 23K to 28K in reserve. Let summer we had balance of 20K. Up 8K from last year. Thank you to 134 dues paying members.

The fiscal plan is to leave the 3K CD coming due in the fall in the general fund as to maintain an average of 7.5K over the winter. Then in July 2018, decide to move back into CD.

Secretary Report from July 2016 Meeting – Rob Jahn

  • Meeting minutes from last meeting and this meeting will be posted to website: www.crescentbeachma.
  • Key items recapped from last CBIA meeting were:
    • Treasures report was presented a motion was passed to accept the report
    • The CBIA board is trying out Google Groups as a way to improve communications and allowing people to opt-in/out of messages Thank you made to all 2017 season volunteers
    • Approved treasure budget of $300 for raft repairs.
    • Discussion was held for the replacement to “we love our children” sign. This will be taken off line with family’s who intend to make a donation to replace the sign.

New Business

1) Thank you to all the CBIA volunteers this year

  • Raft lines, Howie & Christian. Raft coming out Tues 5th
  • Beach Cleaning - team of 6-8 teenagers over the summer. The crew was out each morning 630-7 to 9. Started 4th July. Down to 2-3 people at the end and we got the eclipse storm that brought more seaweed. Thanks Paul for picking up the pitchfork to help out.
  • Raymond Hall - teenagers opening the hall and running activities.
  • Family Cookout - Bob Nichols - severed 130 people. 40-50- less than last year. Special thanks as well to Margo, Lauren, Manfields, Kutchers
  • Bev Gleason and Mary - Coffee meeting. 5 successful coffees help roughly every other week. Thank you to all the hosts! Thanks Russ for signage help. Important part of the community
