A detailed report was provided in the meeting and will be posted on the CBIA web site. Below is a summary of the treasurer’s report:
· Starting balance - $ 12,578.96
· Monies Received from Dues: $ 6,448.50
· Expenses: $ 6,590.14
· Ending balance: $ 12,437.32
· CD balance: $20,442.54

Facts were also presented for:
· The capital fund interest rate is now very low how this is not growing the fund. In years past, there were upwards of $800 a year in interest. Now this is less than $100 a year.
· There is a $4,000 increase since September 2015 for the expense fund.
A request was made to the CBIA treasurer to provide a treasure report by calendar year rather than between meetings as it is currently done. Request was to remain itemizing the expenses such as taxes, insurance, raft expenses, etc. and receipts and to include a year to year comparison.
A request was made to the CBIA board to send a reminder letter to those households that did not pay dues and include a list of how the dues are spent on projects and expenses.
MOTION PASSED to approve the treasurer report
MOTION PASSED to move $2,000 from the expense account to the capital fund account.
Secretary Report from July 2016 Meeting – Rob Jahn

· Key items recapped from last CBIA meeting were:
o Treasures report was presented a motion was passed to accept the report
o The request post a sign to remind households to pay dues was done and posted on the beach entrances.
o The dates for summer events such as cookout, art show, coffee hours and CBIA meetings were shared.

MOTION PASSED to approve the secretaries report
Thank You to Volunteers – Paul O’Donnell
1) The swim lines are now up and ready for the July 4th weekend with the plan to take out 9/3 - Thank you Bob & Carol Nichols. The job will now be taken over by Christian McCullough.
2) The raft coordination with the boat yard and new diving board. - Thank you Howie O’Hara.
3) Beach raking - Thank you Halls, Walters and McCullough teenagers.
4) Pizza and ice cream nights in Raymond Hall - Thank you Maura and Dave Bailey
5) CBIA cookout - Thank you Bob Nichols, BBQ chefs, volunteers to setup and transport tables and chairs. This year 180 plates were served with only 3 uneaten hamburgers. Cost was $982.
6) Coffee Hours – Thank you Bev Gleason, Andrea Shanley, Gale Pinshaw, Marianne Hickey, Fran McIntyre
7) Art Show – This as a big success on a hot day. Refreshments were served and there was a new artist, Pam Fleming, who presented local photography. Thank you Pam Fleming, Sandy Marchetti, Janet Flaherty
New Business - Paul O’Donnell
1) Paul O’Donnell expressed that he would like to step down as president. He has been serving on the board for 11 years. Since there is no formal process or term limits there was agreement that the board should:
a. Send an email communicating his desire to step down this fall
b. Send a letter in the spring for process outlining how future candidates should be nominated in the July 2017 meeting.
