A. ROSTERS, REQUIREMENTS

 

1.    Starting roster

2.    The balance of your roster will “sit the bench”.  Each owner can have a maximum of 30 players.

3.    You must leave Bid Day w/28 players and 1 coach and go no lower during the season.

 

B. BIDDING/COLLEGE DRAFT

 

1.    Veteran Talent will be acquired via an auction on Bid Day. Attendance (in person or video) is mandatory. 

2.    Minimum bid is $1, minimum increment is $1. 

3.    There will be an annual college draft starting in 2024.  This will be a 4-round draft.

4.    College drafted players do not count against your protected 8 (below), but they do against your 28-30.

5.    College salaries as follows:

a.    Top 10 first round NFL pick-$4

b.    other 1st Rd. NFL pick-$3

c.     2nd Rd. NFL pick $2

d.    3nd Rd. NFL pick through undrafted $1

6.    The college draft order will be set as follows: First pick goes to team that wins the DRAFT PLAYOFF BOWL (sec. F) and picks 2-6 based on how they finish in the DRAFT PLAYOFF BOWL. Picks 7 thru 12 based on playoff finish with CHAMPION picking 12th.

7.    Every player starts out contracted only for the season in which they were acquired.  For purposes of a contract, the season runs from AUG 1 – JUL 31.

 

C. ROSTERS, CHANGING/ IN-SEASON ACQUISITIONS (this section also applies to Trading)

 

1. New, in-season acquisitions are made through silent bid.

2. If there’s a tie, the winner is the team w/ the worst record. The next tie-break is points scored.

3. The fee for acquiring a new player (in silent bid) is $0 for 2023.

4.    The weekly schedule: WED 6pm bid on new players or on players waived after FRI of the prior week. Waiver will be run again FRI at 6pm for players cut on WED and for remaining free agents. After FRI waiver period, remaining free agents can be signed to a roster with a $5 salary.

5.    Should a transaction cause a team to exceed their player limit, a player (or players) will have to be waived. 

6.    You can only bid/draft on players on an NFL roster, or that are officially professionals.

7.    You can only bid on players through the end of our regular season (the week before our playoffs).

8.    Starting in FEB 2024 (and of each year thereafter), and ending in JUNE, there is silent bidding on non-rookies on the last day of each month.

9.    There are unlimited transactions (including trades) per week/transaction date (off-season).

 

D. PROTECTING PLAYERS/EXTENDING CONTRACTS

 

1.    In AUG of every year, decide on up to 8 contracted players for the upcoming season.  You can add a 9th contracted player for a $15 fee.  This player cannot have been previously contracted or awarded an “F” tag (see below). 

2.    Two days before Bid Day, you can make 1 change to your 8 or 9.  Also, you must decide the length of any new contracts (for 1, 2, or 3 years at these multiples):

3.    At the end of the regular season of contract expiration year, a player is no longer part of his old team unless otherwise stated in the rules.

4.    The number of three-year extensions that can be tendered every year is two.

6.    To buy out a contract the cost is $15 each, and there is no limit on the number of contracts you can buy out. 

7.    A career ending injury/retirement would cause any buyout fee to be waived.

 

E. TRADES (also see above) - The weekly trading deadline is Sunday 1pm

 

1. Trades are official when posted on the website.

2.    Trades can include future considerations.

3.    The deadline for trading is Saturday night before Week 11’s Sunday. 

4.    There is unlimited trading starting the first day after the fantasy Super Bowl.

                                                                

 

F. COMPETITION

 

1.    12 teams, 2 conferences, 14-week regular Season (play each divisional opponent twice).  Weeks 15, 16 and 17 are playoffs.

2.    Divisions in 2023 will be set randomly, then each year thereafter they will be adjusted and set based on TOTAL POINTS SCORED from the prior season in alternating order. (Example – teams ranked by points 1,3,5,7,9,11 in one division) 

3.    6 teams make the playoffs.

4.    The 2 division winners will receive first round byes and home field advantage for the play-offs (see below).

5.    TIE BREAKERS

a.    Total Points scored in all games.

b.    Total points heads up.

c.     Heads Up Record

6.    The two 2nd place teams in each division make the playoffs and will have home field advantage for round 1 of the playoffs (see below).

7.    The 5th and 6th playoff teams will be awarded to the two teams that scored the MOST POINTS out of the remaining 8 teams regardless of record.

8.    Non-playoff teams (based on record) will have a DRAFT PLAYOFF BOWL for 1st pick in the college draft.

9.    Prizes: 1st 40% of all fees collected (less those need to pay weekly prizes), 2nd 25%, 3rd 15% and 4th 10%. 

10.  The Regular Season champ in each division gets 2.5%. High Points for the season gets 2.5%.

11.   During the regular season there will be a weekly prize of $25 awarded to the highest scoring team each week.

12.  There will also be a weekly survivor feature, which runs from week 4 thru week 14  - lowest score each week is eliminated from the survivor challenge and last team standing will win 2.5%.

13.  Playoff seeding tiebreakers are winning percentage, then points.  (To calculate winning percentage, the following formula will be used: ((W+(T/2))/(GP))

14.  For the first two playoff rounds there will be a home-field advantage. The award will be 2 points in round 1 of the playoffs to the 3 and 4 seed, then in round 2 of the playoffs 4 points to the score of the #1 overall seed, and 3 points to the #2 overall seed. The championship game is played on a neutral field.                                                 

 

 

 

G. SCORING

 

1.    Scores become official at the start of the referred to “next” game. 

2.    Playoff ties will be broken by calculating total team TDs

3.    All scoring is done by the website and is as follows:

Coaches - 6 points for an NFL win, 3 points for tie, 0 points for a loss

QBs, RBs, TEs and WRs:

Multiply total yards rushing and receiving (combined) by .1

Multiply total yards passing by .4

Reception = 1 point

Interception = -2 points

Fumbles = -1 points

Rushing Receiving TD = 6 points

Passing TD = 6 points

Two-point conversion = 2 points

Return TD = 6 points

Kicker:

Extra points = 1 point

FG = 3 points

2 pt. conversion he runs or catches = 1 point

TD he runs in, throws or catches = 6 points

         TACKLES FOR ALL ABOVE “Offensive” PLAYERS = 1 pt.

 

Defensive Starters:

TD = 6 points

Fumble Recovered, INT = 3 points, return TD = 6

Sacks = 2 points

Solo Tackles = 2 points

Assisted Tackles = 1 point

Passes Defensed = 1 point

Two-point conversions = 2 points

 

H. ADMINISTRATIVE

 

5.    IMPORTANT DATES: 

a. 4/16/, ALL MONIES DUE

b. AUG 8, declare all Fs and Ts and announce contracts.

c. AUG 23 College Draft

d. AUG 25, one contract switch is allowed, and contract terms must be declared. (n/a for 2023)
