BROOKTOWN WSOP EVENT 200 GOES TO SCOTT DAVIS

BROOKTOWN WSOP CC - That's right, pulling out the roman numerals for a little history and event number 200.

Not only was it historic because it was event number 200th but, sadly, it also saw, due to the unprecedented times, the fewest number of entrants at a regular season event with only 9 people.

Deep Stack poker historically stimulates lots of action, but not tonight, a lot of grinding a lot of folding and when 3 time 2020 event winner and winner of five out of the last seven events, Rich Southard, was first man out it was anybody’s event.

Our heads up was a first time matchup featuring Scott Davis versus the Augman, and Augie had a couple of solid chances to take Scottie down but the man known as the grinder held on for win number 23 and his first of 2020.

Third place tonight with a very impressive performance, making a lot of smart calls and taking a number of big pots was JStu and somehow, down to one last 500 chip Tom Brucato was able to survive 4 straight all ins and hang on and steal fourth place from Mike Altilio

September has two events coming up our regularly scheduled event September 11 in Middletown and a Saturday matinee September 19th in Scotch Plaines.

Jay Fern took home high hand and there was no 4 of a kind so that pot carries over to September.

Excellent hosting job by Mike Altilio and we look forward to, and hope we get invited back to his lovely home.
