A lot to do and say here - first off thank you Pete as always, for opening your house and taking care of us early on a Saturday morning, the breakfast food was a huge hit and it was a nice break and change of pace after all these years. Thank you for the Brooklyn Bagels Rich - another nice treat. It’s also great to be sending this email at 5 o’clock in the afternoon as opposed to 5 o’clock in the morning!

In one of the most entertaining finishes in the history of Brooktown poker history (for everyone except Rich) - with a final 4 of Uncle Bob. JStu, Mike Altilio and Rich Southard -Omaha Hi Lo - Blinds 750/1500 - Rich had back to back hands with a multitude of outs for either a high, a low, or both, he got nothing, and went from about 20,000 chips to 2,000 chips in 2 hands. We had 4 players left with chip counts of; Uncle Bob 57,000, Southard 2,000, Mike Altilio 750 and Stuart was down to one blue 250 chip, and the fun was about to begin.

Uncle Bob sat out the first hand as Rich, Jason and Mike were all in, and all 3 got a piece of the split and survived. Then it was time for Uncle Bob to make his move, he proceeded to put anyone and everyone all in on the subsequent hands, and for a few hands they guys fought off Uncle Bob and stayed alive – but, Rich couldn't catch anything and he was gone in 4th place, then Bob had a 3 way all-in with Altilio and Stuart, Bob had both players beat until JStu caught a 2 outer for a piece of the pot, the crowd erupted in shock and excitement as Jason survived (he only had 1,500 chips in total) Bob took out Altilio and we were heads up with a 58,500 vs 1,500 chips. Now those of you who have not seen the tweet yet (@BrooktownWSOP) , or were there to watch the ending may be saying to yourself, "Self, if Tom said this was one of the most entertaining finishes in the history of Brooktown poker, are you about to tell me JStu rallied from a 57,000 chip deficit and out lasted, out played and out managed Uncle Bob heads up for the greatest comeback in Brooktown History?" Well, the quick answer is no, no JStu lasted about 2 hands vs Uncle Bob and after a 5 month lay off and 34 events since his last win, Bob has gone back to back, reinserted himself in the chase for the top 6 and the final table and restated his claim as one of the top players in Brooktown History with career win number 20 and a an all time best 20-9 heads up record.

Pete took home high hand, and there was no 4 of a kind so that pot will carry over to October 2nd, Omaha Hi in Tinton Falls.
