Joseph P. Hatheway
Samuel H. Hatheway was the father of Sarah Jane Hatheway Gamble, and the maternal grandfather of Stella, Flora and Alice Gamble. Born in Pennsylvania, in 1818, it appears that he moved as a baby or very small child to Tuscarawas County in Ohio by 1820. He lived the majority of his life in the area of Tuscarawas and adjacent Carroll County, Ohio, but moved to Indiana where he died. He was married to Isabel Hagerty,
