At this distance in relationship, there are literally thousands of ancestors. No attempt will be made to chart the lives of all of these people, and at any rate, it might well be impossible to do so. But there are several family lines of descent that are surprisingly well traced, revealing people unknown to us, but who lived very interesting lives.
