Nancy passed away on June 10, 2015 in Oceanside, California at the age of 68.

Nancy was born on June 1, 1947 in Chicago. She graduated from James H. Bowen High School in 1965 and from the University of Illinois in 1969 where she majored in English and minored in French. Nancy spent her early career as a high school English and French teacher and her later career in hospital accounting with many institutions across Chicago, while raising her two sons. She married Jack Engle in 2002 and together they resided in Arlington Heights, Illinois and frequently vacationed in South Haven, Michigan. Nancy and Jack moved to California coinciding with the birth of her son Scott’s first child in 2006.

Nancy was a fun-loving and generous individual who enjoyed family gatherings, spending time at the beach, and traveling. If there was an opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren, Nancy never hesitated to join the fun and her grandkids all had special times laughing and playing with their “Nana.” She was an active and dedicated member of the Catholic Church and spent many hours volunteering at Old Mission San Luis Rey in Oceanside.
