Victoria (Βικτώρια)

Victoria is a neighborhood located in the north of Omonia, to find it just to stop to the metro station of the same name, on the green line, or go by foot following Patission avenue.

This is a popular area, with a population mostly immigrants, and a high concentration of brothels.

You can find many cheap and correct hotels around.

But Victoria is best known for its famous squat, Villa Amalia, the oldest anarchist squat in Athens. It has been held since 1990 and is located at the corner of Boulevard Acharnon and Cheyden street.

Villa Amalia is currently closed and guarded by police 24h24 to prevent occupants to reoccupy the place. feb 2013
