A great and unknown location situated south of the Acropolis, on the other side of Monastiraki. Petralona is surprisingly calm, modern buildings are quite small, and there are some beautiful old houses.In the high part of the district you will find many taverns and Kafenio, there is really little car, so you can enjoy the sun at the terraces at your leisure. At the top of Petralona, on the slopes of the Acropolis do not miss to stroll around of the narrow streets, some of them because of their whitenessreminds villages of the Cyclades.
Petralona is divided in two parts, Ano (upper) and Kato Petralona (lower). Ano Petralona is located between the hill Filopappou and the Railway, Kato Petralona is the area between the railway and Piraeus Street.
In the South of Petralona, we can find the district of Tavros and Kallithea.
