School of fine Arts Athens

The School of Fine Arts Athens is located along the boulevard Pireas, (the boulevard that connects Athens to Piraeus). The nearest Metro station is Kallithea.Built on the site of a former factory, the school look like a artistic squat, the place is messy and all tagged. We are far from the classicism of some arts schools such as the School of Fine arts of Paris.If you are interested by what is happening on the scene of the Greek contemporary art, a tour at the school can be good idea. Besides the workshops for students, you will find a large exhibition hall that welcomes all sorts of exhibitions: Exhibition of teachers, students collective exhibitions, exhibitions of foreign artists. The School of Fine Arts also hosts every year one of the biggest alternative festivals of Greece, the B-fest.
