Tank Type Theory by u/Aznatf

I've tried to group the tanks into distinct classes, to create a more complete picture of the diversity of tanks diep has to offer. If you disagree with any of these please let me know what you didn't like, how I should change it and of course why.

I named every classes of tanks to fit their respective charactaristics. I will also give an definition of each class so you know why I choose these tanks to belong into that class and why others didn't make it there. I also attemped to create cateories with ruthly the same size.

Tanks : An entity that is playable in all gamesmodes.

I. Planner (Tactician) : A tank that is able to use its weaponry in creative and complex ways and are supported by their high FoV. It faces limitation in firpower which requires it to plan in advance to not end up in a disadvantageous position.

II. Supriser (Ambusher) : A tank that is capable of quickly doing devestating amounts of damage to its opponent when entering its FoV and is able to launch a sneaky but deadly suprise attack either through ambushes or pressure though deadly bullet walls.

III. Spammer : A tank that is restricted to its own high reload firepower for its survival.

1. Assaulter (Sniper) : A tank with high FoV that fires a high velocity and semi damaging bullet.

2. Builder (Trapper) : A tank with the ability to build a fortified trap bunker which proctets it from incoming bullets.

3. Drone Class : A tank that uses controllable ammonition as its primary source of attack and defence.

4. Clasher (Smasher) : A tank that can ONLY rely on its body damage to effectively kill opponents.

5. Speeder : A tank that is able to achieve high speeds by a small but constant amount of recoil.

6. Demolisher (Destroyer) : A tank with the ability to produce a permament moving, high damage bullet.

7. Focus Firerer : A tank that can protect itself from incoming bullet streams with its own high reload focus firepower so it doesn't have to dogde.

8. Crowd Controller : A tank that can handle multiple tanks and control large areas with a spreaded firepower that covers their flanks.

9. Pan-Directional Shots : A tank that is pointsymmetrical to its origin and applies the same damage in all directions the barrels are facing.

Also this is just a proposed classification of tanks. Not all tanks can be 100% categorized into one group or another but I tried my best to make it as uniform as possible with very few exceptions and to stay as objective as possible so to be mostly independed from a certain playstyle of people.
