The Diepio Triple Twin Guide

Introduction: Triple twin is quite an unusual tank, to say the least. It has three twin barrels angled exactly 120 degrees around the tank. With its oddly angled barrels, people would rather choose octo tank or Twin Flank, and with its low penetration compared to other spammers, people would rather choose spammers such as Triplet, Sprayer, or even again, Twin Flank. Despite these disadvantages, Triple Twin is still a very powerful class.(edited)

Advantages: - Mobility. Like its cousin, the Octo Tank, the Triple Twin is a fast and aggressive tank. Because of its flank characteristics, the Triple Twin can aim anywhere while moving quickly. This means it is great for chasing and cornering down players, dodging bullets, and pushing for attack and falling back. - Penetration. Triple Twin has penetration equivalent to about half that of their parent tank, the Twin. With Triple Twin's penetration combined with knowing when to push and fall back, you can actually outpenetrate a lot of bullet spammers. This includes Spreadshot, the occasional Pentashot, Fighter, Octo Tank, Auto 5, sometimes snipers, and you can actually protect yourself from Triplet and Sprayer bullets.(edited)

Disadvantages: - Lack of focus fire. Triple Twin has trouble defending itself from drones, spammers, and other bullets (the same way Octo Tank, Penta, and Spreadshot do) while at the same time, outpenetrating other tanks (the same way Auto Gunner, Triplet and Sprayer do.) Triple Twin also has trouble defending itself against high-damage moving objects such as Sniper bullets or Drones, because of its weak spots.(edited)

Offensive Tactics: The Push Triple Twin's main form of offense is the simple Push. Basically, you put your mouse in the same direction as you are moving, usually in the direction of the opponent. By doing so, you create a dense layer of bullets which is very hard to break through. The Push can be done on a dime, it only takes about 5 seconds after turning to create a full cloud of bullets. Though this seems like a long time, it only takes about 0.5-2 seconds for the cloud to be efficient.

Offenseive Tactics: The Strafe This incorporates Triple Twin's mobility aspect. This tactic is only useful with 4+ bullet speed Triple Twins. To execute this move, point to the opponent, but instead of moving directly toward them, move sideways, at about 30-90 degrees. The strafe, compared to the Push, is a lot better for dodging bullets or avoiding attacks from skilled tanks. The Strafe is more cautious than Brute Force.

Finding a Balance Between the Push and Strafe: Though both of these moves are great on their own, most situations require decent knowledge of both, since you will often find yourself having to switch between either moves. However, there are some situations where it is always better to do one over the other. When to Push: - When the opponent runs. It is always good to keep pressure on the opponent. Also, if they decide to go aggressive and charge back at you, you already have a dense cloud of bullets prepared. - When the opponent makes themselves vulnerable. Vulnerable means there is opportunity to kill them. When a Sniper finds its way into your FoV or a Drone class has its drones far from itself, it is vulnerable to you. It is important to go as offensive as possible in these situations. When to Strafe: - When you are being outpenetrated. This mostly works against Triplets and Sprayers. In this case, the push will not work. Avoid their bullets and be as accurate as possible with your own. - Against High-Damage objects. This includes Drones, Sniper Bullets, and Destroyers. Always be cautios of these as they are your biggest threats, especially if you are using a glass build. Strafing is used to avoid danger and/or use your bullets to destroy them.

Easy Opponents: The Octo Tank Triple Twin is a direct counter for Octo Tank, especially with the hurricane build. You can easily and constantly outpenetrate and pressure them, even if they have 7 movement speed. Make sure to watch the health bar, as some bullets occasionally bypass your bullet cloud.

Easy Opponents: The Smasher Tree Spikes and other Smashers tend to underestimate the Triple Twin. On their first wave of attack when they are full health and/or you are unaware they exist until they get in your FoV, they can come close to kill you, or kill you if you are unaware. It's best to start shooting at them when they come into a medium or close range, as that is when you do the most damage to them. Usually, they run at about half health or less, but that's when they're dead, even with 10 movement speed. If they manage to get away, you can bait them back by pointing your mouse directly away from them, exposing your weak spot. Turn back when they come close again.

Medium Opponents: The Triplet Surprisingly, the Triplet is not as challenging as you'd think with Triple Twin. Mainly, I strafe to bypass their bullets, and push if they're far or vulnerable. Because of Triplet's rather low penetration, you can actually counter (not outpenetrate) their bullets without having to push and create a wall.

Defensive Tactics: Trapping Triple Twin's most reliable move is trapping. When an opponent is separated from their base or stuck against the wall, they almost have no chance of winning. This works against almost every tank, including rammers, snipers, focus spammers, destroyers, drones, other Triple Twins & Twin Flanks, etc. Steps: 1 - Use push (and strafe if needed) to force them against the wall. 2 - Use strafe once they are against the wall, don't push too much as you risk death. 3 - If they try to escape at a 90 degree angle, chase them at a 45 degree angle, keeping your mouse always a bit ahead of them.
