Abstract
In this paper, we propose a image registration scheme in the feature plane. The registration process is based on the notion of maximization of mutual information. Features have been selected over a window and based on the feature images are generated. Registration process is carried out in the image plane and also in feature image plane. We have also considered weighted features and registered the image by maximizing the mutual information. Feature based registration could also be tested with noisy CT and MRI images.
