Any Image can be considered as a two dimensional array of integer,character or other data type with a header. Header defines property of an image and generally it includes size of image in pixels and type of image. The different location in two dimensional array stores intensity value corresponding to image. An image can be Color,Grey scale or Binary(black&white) image. There are many known image format like jpg,tiff,bmp,gif,pnm etc. Each file format has its own characteristic including header and pixel value. With suitable Image Manipulation Tool, images can be interchanged from one to other format depending upon our requirement.
