Prizes worth INR 20,000 to be won!

The man has to win the competition …

to save his family…

Can u help????

Its simple!!!!

Just make one autonomous robot UV such that it move to arena covering a specified number of checkpoints, and reaches the end point.

Task

you have to design an unmanned vehicle (UV) capable of avoiding stray object and reach to the destination with covering certain requirements.

Arena specification

    1. All the horizontal surfaces will be black.
    2. All the vertical surface will be white.
    3. Height of vertical surface will be 5 cm.
    4. Size of obstacle will be random.
    5. Minimum distance between any two obstacle will be 30 cm.
    6. Arena will contain patches of different colours.
    7. All the surfaces will be made up of plywood having appropriate colour.
    8. The colour patches will included surface.

Sample Arena picture (TOP VIEW)

This is a sample arena picture. Actual arena will be disclosed during the event.

Robot specification

      1. The UV will be an On board Processing autonomous robot which is capable of recognizing an object or obstacle white in colour and moving out through it.
      2. Size of robot can be conveniently chosen.
      3. Power supply should be on board.
      4. UV should not leave any material that can damage arena in any way.
      5. LEGO kits or its spare parts are not allowed, but the participant can use ready made gear boxes or bases.

Event rules

    1. Any kind of interaction, physical or sensor based, between the autonomous and mechanical bot will lead to disqualification.
    2. No. of participants in a team can be maximum up to 4.
    3. once event started team members will not be allowed to touch their machine.
    4. In case of malfunctions the participant can either
      • Restart. In such a case the bot will be replaced at the initial position . The mission will be restarted from beginning. Previous scores will not be accounted.
      • Abandon Mission . In such a case the run time will be assumed to be end of event and the score will be calculated.

5.maximum of 3 restart can be allowed to a team depending upon

time availability.

6.Team having maximum score will be winner.

Event process

    1. UV will be kept near a horizontal wall at maximum of 15 cm from wall.
    2. UV will move around the arena and cover different colour patches.
    3. UV should not stuck any where in arena.
    4. It should not touch arena or its part anywhere.
    5. There will be no time out in any case.
    6. Participant will be given chance to repeat their activity depending on time availability.

Scoring rules

    1. There is 100 points for covering every red colored patch.
    2. 80 points for touching each green patch.
    3. 60 point for touching each blue patch.
    4. 40 point for touching each violet patch.
    5. There will be no marks if UV covers the same patch consecutively .
    6. Points will be awarded only when UV covers minimum of 2 different patches before coming to same patch.
    7. In case of restart, every restart will lead to a reduction of 40 points.
    8. If UV touches wall or obstacle 10 points will be deduced for every touch.
    9. The scoring formula is:
    10. w*Nc - T +A+ B - 10*Nd -40*R
    11. Nc = Number of patches.
      1. w=weight of each patch (red -100,green-80, blue-60,violet-40)
      2. T = Actual time of run in seconds. A= 50 for reaching the half lap.
      3. B = 100 for reaching the end point.
      4. Nd = Number of times the autonomous bot UV touches wall or obstacle R= No of restarts
