Task
A redefined basket ball competition for your designed machine.
Robot specification
Weight of the robot should not exceed 5 kg.
Robot should fit in a box of 25X25X25 cm.
Power supply to the robot assembly must be dc.
Robot may change its shape and may get divided into parts
during the run without any external human physical touch .
There may be a number of controlling points on the robot.
All the cables attached to machine must remain slack during the competition.
Robot should be designed such that it does not damages the arena or its components in any manner. Robot doing so will be disqualified.
Ready made gear boxes or bases can be used.
Lego kits are not allowed.
Arena picture
Arena Specification
1. Surface of arena will be made of wood or plywood.
2. Arena will be divided into different segments 1,2 and 3.
3. Height of basket from arena surface will be at 30 cm.
4. Diameter of ball will be 6 cm.
5. Diameter of basket will be 10 cm.
Event rules
1. Number of participants in a team can be maximum up to 4.
2. Winner will be decided according on the basis of the total marks obtained.
3. Once the event starts team members will not be allowed to touch their machine.
4. There will be 3 minimum balls to basket.
5. One ball will be assigned to each team and they have to basket their respective assigned ball in assigned basket.
6.The third ball can be basket by either team.
7.Opponent team may counter attack to prevent the goal.
8.It will be a knock out round.
Scoring rules
1.For collecting the ball once without repetition 50 points will be awarded.
2.For basket awarded points are
100 points if basket is done from region 1.
150 points if basket is done from region 2.
200 points if basket is done from region 3.
3.If basket is done in opponents court 50 points will be deducted.
4. If opponents ball is basket 100 points will be deducted.
5. If robot crosses the side line 50 points will be deducted.
6.There is no negative mark if robot crosses the mid court line .
