*At least three units selected from foreign language (two units of one foreign language) and/or combinations from two or more of the following course areas: English, mathematics, social studies, science, and fine arts. A computer science course with a pre-requisite of at least Algebra I is permissible as a mathematics elective. State and/or international history courses are permissible as social studies electives. A four year cumulative attendance of 95% is also required for a college prep certificate or designation.

To qualify for graduation students must be in attendance for eight (8) semesters, seven periods a day, grades 9 through 12. Students who qualify for homebound instruction, early-out, part-time attendance, work release and cooperative office education may be exempt from this attendance requirement.
Seniors must pass a minimum of four (4.00) units of credit to qualify for graduation, with the exception of students who are granted an early out.
Twenty-four (24) units of credit are required for graduation. Students who transfer to Ste. Genevieve High School from an accredited or unaccredited school in another country, state, or in-state high school will be subject to the guidelines defined for such students by the Ste. Genevieve R-II Board of Education Policy (JECC) and by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
In order to qualify for graduation students must complete a minimum of the following units of credits: four (4) units of credit in language arts consisting of English I, II, III, and a fourth credit of English electives (publications & play production will not count as the fourth English credit); three (3) units in social studies consisting of one-half unit of World history, one unit of American History, one unit of American Government, and one-half unit of social studies elective; three (3) units of mathematics including Algebra; three (3) units of science including integrated science; one-half (.5) unit in practical art; one (1) unit of fine art; one (1) unit of physical education; one half (.5) unit of health; seven and one-half (7.5) units of credit of elective courses and one-half (.5) units of credit of Personal Finance. Specific requirements, as previously defined, must be met to qualify for the College Prep Course of Study.
A maximum of three (3) units of credit may be granted toward graduation requirements by the following, if approved in advance by the principal: Summer school, night school, or achievement credit. A maximum of two (2) units of credit may be earned for educational travel and approved extension or correspondence courses by an accredited institution.
Students must also pass a test or tests on the provisions and principals of the United States and Missouri Constitutions, and in American History, and institutions to qualify for graduation. Starting with the class of 2021, students will be required to take and pass a US Citizenship test.
Credit will be awarded on a semester basis. One-half unit of credit will be awarded for each period a class meets for a semester during the regular school year.
ALL GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS MUST BE COMPLETED IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES.

Beginning July 1, 2017, students entering high school in school year 2017-2018 and thereafter shall be eligible to earn a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Certificate.
