1. Complete a rigorous high school program cooperatively planned by the school, the student and the student’s parents. The program must include at least these units of credit:

**Starting with the class of 2027, the freshmen level courses for Social Studies is not designated as a college preparatory course.
2. Complete a strong academic program, as specifically outlined below, in the subject areas of English/language arts, mathematics, science, social studies and specified core electives and maintain a four year cumulative attendance of 95%. No substitutions are authorized.
Classes 2027 and After
English/Language Arts: At least four units of English (must have College Preparatory English I, College Preparatory English II, College Preparatory English III, and College Preparatory English IV). Students must also have one-half unit of Speech.
Mathematics: At least four units (must choose from Algebra I, College Preparatory Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus, Trigonometry, College Algebra, College Algebra with Applications, Statistical Reasoning, or Calculus).
Science: At least three units including College Preparatory Integrated Science, College Preparatory Biology, and one unit of advanced sciences (Advanced Biology, Evolutionary Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, Advanced Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Physics I).
Social Studies: At least two and a half units, including College Preparatory American Government and College Preparatory American History and may choose between Western Civilizations or Psychology.
Fine Arts: At least one unit of fine arts courses in the visual arts, music, dance, and theatre.
Practical Arts: At least one unit (Personal Finance does not work to fulfill this requirement).
Physical Education: One unit.
Health: One-half unit.
Personal Finance: One-half unit.
Electives:
Specified Core: At least three units selected from foreign language (two units of one foreign language) and/or combinations from two or more of the following course areas: English, mathematics, social studies, science, and fine arts. State and/or international history courses are permissible as social studies electives.
General: At least six units necessary to meet standard and or local units.
