College Credit
SLU 1818 Registration Requirements:
Be a student in Grade 11 or 12 (Junior or Senior)
Carry a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above (on an unweighted 4.0 scale)
Have written endorsement from the principal or guidance counselor
Have teacher approval for each course
Must earn a grade of A through C in order to gain credit
Under extraordinary circumstances, Standards 1 or 2 may be waived based on written petition to the 1818 ACC Program Director from the student's high school principal. Please refer to the 1818 website for more details.
MAC Registration Requirements:
Be a junior or senior or at least 16 years of age
Have the consent of your parent or legal guardian to enroll.
Each semester fill out the online MAC "High School Application" under the admissions tab at www.mineralarea.edu.
Make sure ACT and/or Compass scores are sent to MAC - contact your counselor for assistance.
Have your high school counselor send the name(s) of courses you wish to take to the dual credit office.
Not have any holds on MAC records.
SEMO Registration Requirements:
Participation in dual credit is open to high school junior or senior students
Must have a minimum cumulative high school grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
A high school official (principal, guidance counselor or dual credit coordinator) must authorize a student’s enrollment.
Complete the Early College Credit/Dual Credit Registration Form
Courses may also have a minimum ACT or placement test score requirement.
Students may continue in the dual enrollment program from semester to semester by completing all coursework attempted with a grade of “C” or higher in each course. Students who earn a grade below “C” will not be allowed to continue in the dual credit program.
