GOAL(s): The goals of this experience were mental health and physical health. I wanted to accomplish new habits and get rid of bad habits. I planned to use the information that I have acquired in the past when I was interested in doing something like this. I researched a few things on the internet of nutrition. I wanted to get different perspectives like Dermatologists, nutritionists, and a therapist. I chose this topic because I saw a few other classmates do something like it. I also chose this topic because I felt like I needed a change from the foods I ate, my mental health, and more exercise.
OUTCOME: The outcomes were supposed to be exercising, dressing more professionally, eating right, better skincare routine, showering more frequently (every other day,) and having a different lifestyle. The lifestyle just means TV time/electronic time, and bedtime. The majority of the goals that I set, I met. The exercising and the lifestyle I didn't do much of. I need to walk to my house sometimes when my family can't come and get me. Eating right I have been doing that pretty well, my portion sizes have been good, the water drinking I have been excelling at, and I have not been eating a lot of sugar as well. Dressing more professionally, in the beginning, was a little difficult because a lot of stuff happened. Checking my skincare routine and making sure it worked for me was something that has been working very well, not eating sugar has helped that a lot. Showering as well has been a lot better.
REFLECTION: I learned that it's really difficult at first, to get used to eating a new way and dressing a new way. It was fun, dressing the way I did made me feel good. Eating the way I did made me feel upset. When I was on this diet I was stressed a lot. I was stressed a lot from people and things. I tried getting a job and getting my permit. I lost a few friends but I just got used to it by now. Dressing like I was going to an interview 24/7 was very fun and I enjoyed it a lot. I just wish that I could keep up with that, without making it boring. Exercising was something that I thought was going to be easy but it wasn't. I don't know what it was when it came to doing it, I just thought I had something "better" to do. I faced outer challenges, personal challenges, and mental. There were times when I didn't want to do anything. I would do the exercises, stick to the bedtime that I said ( 9-10 PM), I would have stuck with the things that I said I was going to do but didn't.
