GOAL(s):
The goal at the end of this project was to shave my dad as my final project. For the teaching us part of it I wanted to make it so students could go through what I had to do and see what it was like. I got balloons, razors, and shaving cream, people could put the shaving cream on the balloon and practice with that. The resources that I planned to use were the ones that my dad has. My dad had the shaving cream, the aftershave, the oil, and the razor to shave with. I chose to do this project because I like skin care, even though it was mainly hair, It still had that skin aspect to it. My dad went to this barbering place in Orlando and I enjoyed it there.
Interview with Christian
Christian Dubrul- Owner of Old Soul Baber shop
OUTCOME:
All of the goals that I had were met. At the beginning of the project it turned out fun but then it slowly started to just be another thing that I wanted to get done. The challenge was time management throughout the whole project. Nearing the end I thought I wasn't going to have a presentation to give or the "teach us" portion of the presentation. The outcomes that I had were to get everything done and handed in on time as well as have a "teach us" portion of the presentation.
REFLECTION:
I learned how to shave someone, it will take a lot more practice to get it 100% right and go the way that I want but I still learned it. I also learned what the different products were used for, why you should use them, and how to use them. I also learned that if I did want to get into this career that it is a shady business with where people come from and what their intentions are. I have very few take-a-ways, I'd say the end of the whole project wasn't very fun anymore with just trying to get it all done and figure out how to hand it in on time. What worked for me the most would be the interview with Christian at Old Soul Barbershop. It went well because it was the longest interview that I've had and it was really easy to go off of what he was saying. The thing that didn't work out very well was again at the end when the time was getting more restricted. I wish I worked a lot more on time management.
