Class Descriptions
Hour 1 – Description of how El Dorado Search and Rescue group has used Ham Radio APRS for team tracking and operation direction. This would include Deputies ability to stay in the office coordinating operations while monitoring Team member locations using APRS, both OHV and foot team members
Hour 2 – Demonstration of Team member set ups in Jeeps and personal APRS units
Bio
Shawn Mayhew has been a SAR volunteer for 9 years. He has served as the OHV team training officer and currently is the EDSO SAR OHV team captain. He is also a member of the EDSO SAR IT team, Technical Rope team and Ground Team. In his day job he is a IT Project Manager.
