One of the most important things at the start of a search, and at the start of each operational period, is the briefing. At the briefing searchers learn information about the subject, receive radio transmission information, receive UTM and GPS information, get information about resources available, and other valuable information in order to make the highest probable advantage of location of the subject. Other information regarding media, evidence, clues, as well as other valuable information is given at that time. Information is a very valuable resource that every searcher needs in order to complete their search areas with the greatest possible success.
