AirOps
This Helicopter Training Course is sponsored by California Governor's Office of Emergency Services (CalOES) in conjunction with the California National Guard, California Highway Patrol, El Dorado County SAR, Napa County SAR, California Explores Search and Rescue and various other Air Rescue Agencies.
Attendees have two training options;
Session 1 is designed for ground personnel (Type 3,2,1). The course will include, loading and unloading people/litters followed by hoist operations. Time 0900 - 1200 (50 spaces available).
Session 2 is designed for more experienced field members and overhead trained personnel. The course will include aerial searching and Air to Ground communications. Time 1300 - 1600 (20 spaces available).

Bio
Travis has been a member of the Napa County Search and Search team for 8 years, and California Explores Search and Rescue for 9 years. Every year in partnership with Mendocino County Search and Rescue Travis co-hosts a weekend-long Helicopter Awareness training with around 180 people, 26 different rescue agencies and 4-6 aircraft different per day. In addition throughout the year supports numerous local search and rescue helicopter training programs and the annual SAREX event. Outside of helicopter trainings, Travis is active in search management, all-terrain vehicles, and navigation instruction.
