Relevance of this class to search and rescue:
Classroom Portion 1 hour in tent
There will be a short classroom portion prior to entering the field and will discuss a variety of search conditions that can affect your dogs behavior and final trained indication as well as answer questions before and after the field portion if possible.
Field Portion 3 hours in Field
In this course we will discuss human remains detection with handlers who have been working with human remains detection for some time and have deployed on a number of searches. Dogs must have a final trained response that is independently and consistently produced without prompting. We will set-up outdoor problems and possibly some indoor problems. These problems will be in a variety of locations around the SAREX venue in a variety of situations.
**Note: Dogs currently deploying in the field preferred Observers without dogs are welcome.
