Emergency Management On The Trail
This class will be a hands on, participant involved, equine bandaging lab. The class will prepare the Mounted Search and Rescue member with the knowledge to help their horse when the unexpected emergency and injury occurs on the trail. Bandage material will be provided so that all participants will gain the experience and knowledge to wrap it up correctly.

Karly Delano,DVM
Dr Karly Delano was born and raised riding horses in Southern California. She received a Bachelors of Science degree from the University of California at Santa Barbara, and received her veterinary degree from the School of Veterinary Medicine at UC Davis, graduating in 2004. While completing her veterinary degree, Dr Delano exterened at multiple equine facilities, including Alamo Pintado Equine Medical Center (in Los Olivos, California), Steinbeck Country Equine Clinic (in Salinas, California), Arizona Equine Medical Center (in Gilbert, Arizona), and New Bolton Center (at the University of Pennsylvania). She also gained acceptance as a veterinary intern at Alaska SeaLife Center, in Seward, Alaska, the summer of 2002, where she aided in the capture and care of stranded marine wildlife including seabirds, stellar sea lions, harbor seals, and sea otters.
Dr. Karly moved to Amador County in 2007 and started Amador Veterinary Services. Prior to practicing in Amador County, she worked at a busy equine practice in Santa Cruz, California, with a focus on sport horse medicine and a strong equine performance horse base, including dressage, endurance, western performance and pleasure, and hunter/jumpers. Her interests include equine ambulatory medicine, equine dentistry, ophthalmology, and general equine health care and preventative medicine. Now a part of Loomis Basin Equine Medical center, Dr. Karly and Amador Veterinary Services look forward to expanding the practice, to meet all of the large animal veterinary needs of the area.
