KOLOURS EP

KOLOURS EP is an 8 track audio and visual experience. With a research heavy foundation our goal is to invoke or represent feeling and emotion through the unconventional digital media forms that make up this EP. Listeners are encouraged to sit back, relax and absorb the mix of calming yet uplifting sounds whilst taking in the mesmerising visuals. Although KOLOURS EP is research heavy, the ability to form subjective views created by individual listeners is what truly makes this EP like no other.

The audio that makes the EP is planned out and meticulously produced, mixed and mastered by stellar audio team; Justin Norment, Jarred Brough, Charlie Tracey and Harj Uppal. Who have brought their own style and meaning to the project creating an authentic and original sound.

The visual designer: Jack Farago, worked closely with the audio team to ensure a consistent and cohesive experience whether you are watching or just listening to the EP. Bringing audio and design together adds another level of meaningful engagement that we hope you all enjoy!

"Peace & purity" - Commonly associated with white as a blank slate or being reborn. Visuals are inspired by the fact that white is present in every colour.

"Soothing, peaceful" - Many view blue as sadness but we view it as calming and relaxing. Visuals are inspired by this understanding of self care comes from inner peace and understanding how to find this inner love through ones state of mind.

"Attention grabbing, overwhelming" - Many describe the emotion of orange in their own way. We view it as a strong essence, often overwhelming and surprising. Visuals are inspired by the feeling you get if you drink something too fizzy too quickly.

RED

"Anger, aggression" - We used red as a representation of rage with aggressive overtones to add some contrast to the overall experience. Visuals were inspired by distorted and sporadic movements to compliment the track.

PURPLE

"Royalty, spirituality" - Purple is known as the crown chakra which is subliminally implied through the vocals featured on this track. The visuals were inspired by the idea of a journey through mystery and inner spirituality to become the best version of yourself and to be "on top of your world".

BLACK

"Space & nothingness" - Black has obvious negative meaning to it as well as positive undertones depending on the eye of the beholder. Visuals were inspired by the idea that black doesn't have to mean "nothing" but rather unseen potential or a blank canvas begging to be brought to life.
