Mindmap for the family idea
If I did portraits they would be done in painterly style and not realistic colours.
If I represented them as symbols I see them as I could make it humorous and have a lion wearing a cowboy hat, smiling, surrounded by lilies. The bear could be holding a champagne glass.
I could have Art Nouveau-styled 'frames'.
He loves the northern lights and wants to see them one day. He likes fantasy, magical forests and green forests in general.
He love all Japanese culture, such as the food, art, cherry blossoms, tattoos, anime, manga.
He love raccoons
He love sausage dogs
I see him as a bear, cuddly, warm, proective.
These are some of my mum's favourite landscapes.

She likes candles and he is a very warm, passionate person.
Mum is amazing at cooking, loves baking bread and is so creative with decorative birthday cakes.
My mum loves lillys and when ever I see them I think of her.
Bird of paradise is a flower she admires.
She is a creative person who is good at art and who used to be an interior designer.
She loves blues and likes purples.
Absolulty loves the stuff.
I see my dad as a blue lion because he is protective, likes hunting and I say blue because he isn't load or over bearing.
Dad grew up on an orange and mandarin farm in Cyprus. He loves target shooting, his guns, beer, old movies such as Clint Eastwood and John Wayne westerns and war films.
A beach in Cyprus.
These are stained glass windows I am taking inspiration from.
I have always been drawn to art Nouveau. It's so elegant, soft and nostalgic.
If I do frames, I may use the art nouveau style as inspirtation.
I like thats the vines form the ouline of her body.
I think doing a traditional art nouveau colour palette will look very elegant and feeds in to the style more, makes my artwork look more art nouveau.
Modern colour palette to be relevant.
I love these vibrant art works I see on Instagram and Pinterest. After seeing the screen test, I've noticed that the glowing, neon colors look amazing on the tower.
I asked Quliesha to help me with my dress and she drew this image for me. She also told me to look at sailor moon dress and I did.
Reference images I looked at while drawing the dress.
The first screenshot is what the outlines looked like before class and the second is after class.
Angela ran through how to use the vibrant colour palette, use all. the colours but green, yellow and blue. Then ad those colour later with blending modes.
she also showed me that I can put a water colour effect over colours and shading.
I downloaded and tested 4 art nouveau fonts. In the past I would download ten or twenty fonts and test them but it wastes too much time.
This is the font I chose, it's decorative and a bit illegible, which is what I like as I wasn't sure if I wanted to keep the text. Keeping the text and having a very Art Nouveau Typeface ads to the style.
This is Angela's quick example.
This was my attempt which made me decided to do the shading in warm colours. The purple was too contrasting and messy.
Final shading.
I want to animate butterflies fluttering over my stained glass windows. I didn't want to add movement to the stained glass windows because they are supposed to be 'real' windows. The butterflies will add life to the piece.
The following images are what I will use for inspiration to draw the butterflies.
These are the first butterlies I have made for each colour palette.
The red butterfly is the one Ange quickly animated using scale. I tried this with my butterfly and didn't like how it looked, so I found a tutorial on animating butterflies and followed it.
