WatchamaDRAWit

The subject of this piece is me, sitting upside down in a small house. To make this, I used just a pencil and paper. The prompt was given to me by one of the WatchamaDRAWit cards. It just said to draw myself sitting upside down. When I had finished that I added the house and the background.

One of the techniques I used was to balance the art, and try to utilize more of the white space, I did this by drawing the hill and adding grass. Also I added a tree and the sun. My project changed over time, initially I just drew myself sitting upside-down, just like the card said. However I finished that in about 20 seconds so that's why I went on to add the rest of the background. Also that blue stripe is from when I tried to erase with one of the pencils, but the back didn't have an eraser so instead it just rubbed of blue.

This artwork does not really have a meaning. I only drew it because that's what it said to draw on the card. The story is just me sitting upside down. I suppose that my artwork only relates to my life in the sense that I drew it for art class. If I were to redo my art, I would make the lines bolder and more defined. Also I would get a pencil with an eraser that way my drawing wouldn't have that blue stripe.
