Donate Life

The subject of this work is a happy cartoon heart and "Organ and tissue donation SAVES LIVES" This was made using a pencil, paper, and a ruler. The criteria was to include the phrase "organ and tissue donation" and to make it seem happy. So I wrote "Organ and tissue donation saves lives" and added the happy heart.

I used framing by adding a 1 inch border which is cropped out in this photo. I used formal balance by placing everything so the negative space was mostly balanced. Not much changed. I had this idea then I drew it out and was satisfied.

The meaning is to persuade people to sign up as an organ donor to save lives. This doesn't relate to my life because I don't know anyone who has been involved in an organ transplant. This was just for class. If I had to redo it, I would think of a better phrase and I would add color.
