Abstract Class Collaboration Enlargement

Each of these is an enlargement of a printed photograph. The purpose of these is to display all of them together and have it reveal an image. One is in color and one is not, the one on the left is a solid color because that is what the photo I was given looked like. To draw the first one, I just used a pencil and a rolled up piece of paper to blend, although the blending did not work too well. The second one was made using 3 different markers to represent different shades of black and white in the photo. Each piece of artwork was a duplicate of a photograph.

I that that to make these pieces we didn't use the traditional composition rules and techniques, because these are just duplicates of photographs. Well the first drawing started of with me filling in the square with a traditional pencil, but that wasn't dark enough so I got a different kind of pencil to make it darker, then I used a piece of paper to try and blend the lines together. For the second one, I started by drawing in the blue parts, then the yellow and then the orange.

I think that when we have all of the pieces, they are supposed to form a picture of Sugarloaf, so this relates to my life because I am a skier and Sugarloaf is one of my favorite mountains. If I were to do it again, I would have found better tools, or an easier way to blend so that you could not see so many lines in the first drawing.
