I feel that my pictures have drastically improved from the first class to the last, even just from quarter 3 to 4 I have begun to use more and more editing and composition rules and techniques, using what we've learned over the course of the year to improve each image. I have grown more confident with my camera, using it more and more in manual mode rather than automatic to give me more control over what I was doing.
The most challenging thing was finding some way to fit my concentration to the curriculum, there were times when it was either really a stretch or I just didn't manage to get my concentration in there at all. I'm probably most proud of my abstraction or positive and negative space image, they feel the cleanest and tidiest out of the pictures I took, with the best use of composition.
My work declined a little bit partway through the class, I had some trouble turning things in on time, and just getting them done when I needed to in general, Especially the artist statements part of things, I would either forget to write them or write them and forget to hit publish. The other problem I had was my camera's battery died partway through the class so I ended up using my phone for a bunch of projects and I was just too lazy to find the charger and the quality of my pictures slightly decreased. However as I progressed in the class my editing skills continued to improve so that compensated for it.
All in all I am happy I took this class for my art credit, I had some trouble at the start of the year but as the year went on I enjoyed the class more and more, and I learned a lot about the photography from this class, and hope to continue pursuing it in the future.
