This image was taken zoomed way in to a woodpecker hole, or at least what I'm assuming was a woodpecker hole on an old, dead, dried out tree. I used a _______ lens, and zoomed way in with my camera as close to the hole as I could get it while it focused. This image uses formal balance and selective focus, with the focus point halfway into the hole.
I took several of these pictures, of several different holes, but this one was my favorite, I edited several as well but ended up choosing this one, I altered the saturation and contrast a bit here as well.
The back of the image is in shadow so you can't exactly see the back of the hole, so who knows what's there. This is very similar to my door image, it holds unspoken potential, who knows what's down the hole? I wish it was a little clearer, but with how close I was holding the camera and the available lighting I couldn't use the proper aperture to bring the whole image into focus.
