ABSTRACT
The purpose for developing a Personal Philosophy of Education is to solidify a comprehensive approach to future teaching in Early Childhood. Through teaching experience, various discussions with experienced educators, and extensive research in the early childhood field, it was determined that ensuring inclusion in the classroom is best suited to this student's career as an early childhood educator. Teachers must “consider students’ different interests, genders, languages, physical abilities, cultural backgrounds, etc., and help all feel welcome and to thrive in the classroom” (NAEYC, 2011). It is the duty as educators to respond effectively to children with disabilities and other diverse needs through environments that will foster equitable learning opportunities while also keeping a sense of community for all children in the classroom. Today, schools call on teachers to become more inclusive in their approach to early childcare, education, and the creation of environments that serve children with challenges. This starts with ensuring each child is learning in the same environment. The teachings of Vygotsky and Bronfenbrenner suggest that "Children gain knowledge from one another through observations, limitations, and modeling in social contexts" (Clark, 2022). This student considers the goal of early childhood education to be through creating equal opportunities for all children, thus, helping them to reach their full potential.
