Dear Rio Grande Families,
The start of the school year always comes at full speed, with a whirlwind of events, reminders, and calendar updates. While we’d love to see you at all of the events (because who doesn’t want more things to juggle, right?), I get that life is busy, and volunteering or attending everything is not always possible. So, please join us as much as possible, and no worries if you can’t!
That said, the Community Fair and Pet Parade (this Friday and Saturday) are two events that are seriously too fun to miss—especially if you enjoy seeing dogs in costumes - or humans dressed as dogs!
I hope the first few weeks of the school year have been great for your family, and I promise that our beginning-of-the-year communication overload will start to ease soon!

Join Ms. Laurie this fall for a small and focused class where students will learn basic sewing techniques as well as create unique works of art. Some items made last year included bracelets, stuffies, and pin cushions!

We are so excited to welcome local author Joe Hayes to RGS.
Joseph Hayes is an American author and teller of stories mainly found in the folklore of the American Southwest. Hayes was an early pioneer of bilingual Spanish/English storytelling.
